The beginning is the end is the beginning.

As some of you may have guessed by the last comic, there are some changes in the offing for Pre-Apocalyptic Blues. The first change is that Kevin Macintyre will be retiring from his duties as the artist on the comic. Kevin is a creative force to be reckoned with and he has brought his powers to bear in the production of 40 comics for this title. He has been tireless in his efforts to depict Bieber clones, sexy AIs, and whatever other nonsense my brain can concoct and he will be missed. Kev is not vanishing from the webcomic world completely though. He is even now planning a new project that will knock our future socks off. Links will be forthcoming.

The second change is directly related to the first. We have a new artist coming on board who was recently introduced in comic #40: Colin Rutherford. Colin is a former editorial cartoonist for the Sooke News Mirror and has never been to Afghanistan. You can find out more about him at his website www.colinrutherford.ca where he posts a new drawing every week for your edification. I’m really excited about Colin’s artwork and I think he’s going to be a great match for Pre-Apocalyptic Blues.

Other changes are on the way as well, but you’ll have to wait and see them for yourself. I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise, after all.

For the next few weeks, the comic will be on hold while we get the changes up and running, but fear not! We will still be making regular posts of super secret special material that will be tranquil, yet vital. Stay tuned!

  1. Many thanks Chris! It has been both honour and pleasure to apply my doodlings to your wonderful words and I look forward to seeing what you and Colin will cook up together – from what I’ve seen in his work, it should be awesome.

And yes, I have been developing a web comic called “Offset” which will be appearing sometime in the next few weeks here on WordPress. Stay tuned!
